Javen has been on a new diet. He gets a little "backed-up"...if ya know what I mean. Here he is showing off one of his fiber-plus granola bars. He loves them!

January 27th

Tuesday night at Rudy's Tacos is becoming a family tradition. And every single Tuesday all of the little cousins have to spend at least a dollar at the gum-ball machines. Tonight was tattoo night. Savanna picked out a beautiful rose for Tif :0) They are all making their mean-guy faces!

Monday is grocery day. That means that if Javen is good while I shop, he gets to ride the "choo-choo" at Walmart. He's always good :0)

I LOVE FRIDAYS! Friday is the one day of the week that is completely dedicated to spending time together, just the 3 of us. Today we went and had lunch at Chick-fil-A, and the boys got to play together in the play-land. My favorite place to be is with these 2 guys, no matter what we are doing!

This is my most recent custom painting. I delivered it last night to another satisfied customer :0) I absolutely love creating art, and I love the way it makes other people so happy and excited to receive it.

January 21st

What the heck is this?! This morning I went to the gym, and then went tanning. I go tanning twice a week, and today I didn't do anything different than I normally do. After being in the tanning bed for about 2 minutes, my skin started tingling and burning. When I got out, I discovered this fabulous red pattern on my back and stomach. So weird. Thankfully it faded within a couple of hours.

I finished this painting tonight! YAY! I really like this one. It is going to be a birthday gift for Justins cousin. Behind the finished painting are two glorious blank canvases, just waiting for me to get my hands on them :0)

I LOVE these girls! Sadly, I might be losing some of them from my small group. We had dinner at Olive Garden tonight, and it might be the last time that we all meet as the original "Blest". Although things are changing, I believe change is good, and I'm excited about having new girls join my group!

So thankful I am almost back to my old, healthy self again! Justin is out of town at a wrestling meet tonight, so it was a great opportunity for some mommy & Javen time! I love this little man. :0)

January 15th

I'm so sick of being sick!!! The flu bug has bit me for the 2nd time in a little over 3 weeks. This is the position I was in for most of the night.

January 13th

Today I made a trip to the doctors office. Diagnosis: excess drainage from my sinuses has caused my throat to swell. YUCK. I got some meds, but no singing for me for the rest of the week :0(

January 14th

I stepped out to my front porch to take this picture, and that was the furthest I dared to venture outdoors today.

We even had to cancel KYC tonight due to the -40 degree wind chills!

January 12th

YIKES! These cold temps are so miserable! Looks like Javen and I will be stuck in the house for the rest of the week. :0(

January 11th

My little man has caught the flu bug. This morning he threw up at church, which sent the teenage girls that were watching him into a complete panic! Here he is eating his peanut butter toast and pedialyte...which he threw up about 30 minutes later. Poor little booger :0(

January 10th

Tonight we had  a gig at Kilkenny's, downtown Davenport. The first hour was kind of quiet, but it didn't take long for the place to get packed! It was a fun place to play, and we hope to return there in the future.

January 9th

I love date night! I look forward to it all week long. Justin is so busy during wrestling season, that we don't spend hardly any time together during the week. Tonight was awesome. We had an amazing dinner at Granite City. After dinner we just sat and talked for about an hour and a half. I love quality time.

January 8th

Today I took our Christmas tree down. I had bought all new ornaments this year and I really loved our tree. I especially loved the giant orange butterfly ornaments, so much actually, that I just couldn't stand to throw them in a box for a whole year. So I decided to add them to another decoration already in our living room.  Now we can enjoy them year-round :0) Well, at least I can.

I completely forgot, I DID take a picture on this day! I took it on my computer, and was only looking through my camera. On this day, I spent the afternoon watching Mamma Mia :0)

I started feeling better this afternoon and actually regained some of my energy. Playtime was in order!

This has been what I've been staring at for the past couple of days. It's Sunday and it feels so weird to be home from church. Can't wait until I am back to my old self again.

I had a very relaxing "Mommy's Day Out" today. First a haircut at Five Star and then a massage and a little shopping. 

And all done toddler-free. Ahhhh... 

January 2nd

Today Justin and I went on a "day-date". A late lunch at Applebee's, and then to see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". The best movie I've seen in a while! I love spending the day with my husband.

New Years day! The majority of our day was spent watching football, hanging out on the couch and drinking mini-pop.
